Time to change your website?

Most websites can last a period of time before being redesigned. Some last 6 months, some last 12 months and others do not change for between 5 and 10 years in some cases. The question to ask is “does it show my company off at its best?” Often the answer is no and the website is well overdue for a change.As an example, websites with macromedia flash may look fine on a computer but when you get a big blank box with an x it does not do the best job of selling your company to your clients. Often those with the greatest longevity are usually CMS (content management systems) such as some ecommerce sites have, so that as your business grows, you can just add new products or delete old products as per your sales patter to your clients. Sometimes technology changes things, with new browsers, hand held devices etc we are becoming technology users on the move and it is such a growing factor that sales of laptops and PCs are actually showing a slight decline. So you want to be sure of capturing your clients no matter how they surf and this should also be a deciding factor. A fresh website can also give you and your clients just that little push to think about your business and whether you can improve or add extra products or services to enhance your turnover or client experience.
